August 2020 Round-Up: Alliance Theatre Season Announcement, Kennedy Center Workshop, Reading at The Road

Three exciting pieces of news from this past August 2020 —

1) My play DATA was officially announced as the winner of the 2021 Kendeda National Graduate Playwriting Prize, and was programmed in the Alliance Theatre’s upcoming season (March 2021)! Read more HERE.

2) The Kennedy Center, in conjunction with the Alliance and with the National New Play Network, gave DATA a Zoom workshop from August 10-14 as part of the 2020 MFA Playwrights’ Workshop. Directed by Susan Booth and with dramaturgy by Amanda Watkins (the team that’ll be tackling the production with me in March), the workshop starred Adit Dileep, Clare Latham, Jake Berne, and Rob Yang. 3) Finally, my play THE MACHINE received an online reading through The Road Theatre Company, as part of their 11th Annual Summer Playwrights Festival. Directed by Michael Michetti, the reading starred Judith Moreland, Christian Telesmar, Cristina Carlisi, and Bruce Katzman. You can view the full reading, followed by a Q+A with yours truly, HERE.
